Radio Sailing across the world is mourning the loss of one of the true giants of our sport. Ian Vickers passed quietly in Auckland on Monday 4 May, with his family around him. Ian fought a brave but short battle with melanoma.

We have been advised that our good friend, champion sailor and champion bloke Ian Vickers is currently in hospital battling cancer. For those who don't know Ian, his contribution to the sport and his wonderful nature and spirit are unparalleled.
